A New Way to Use Apps for Mindfulness

What happens if guided meditation apps don’t work for you? Try making your own “story” instead! Visualize a place you’ve been to (or your dream vacation), incorporate all your senses (what are you seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling, tasting?), and add a sound (no talking). “White Noise” has ~30 sounds to help put you into a Zen state. With “Relax Melodies” and “Rain Sounds,” you can layer your favourite sounds, and “Meditation Music” provides gentle music from different instruments. Voila! You’ve made your own inner story to calm you or help put you to sleep. Added bonus: they’re all free!
